SITCOM
This is one of the hardest forms of scripted comedy to develop, create and market. Feted and hated,
sitcom comes in for flack like no other TV genre and yet its prime exponents - the Office,
Phoenix Nights - are phenomenally successfully worldwide. Since 1994 Marc has taught a full course in
sitcom construction covering concept, character, relationships and plotting. This course runs for ten weeks
on Monday evenings 6.30pm - 8.30 pm three times a year at the City University, London ECI.

COMEDY WORKSHOPS
Marc runs one and four day intensive workshops through ComedyWorks productions. These are held six times
throughout the year at the Comedy Pub in Oxendon St, Central London (next to London's Comedy Store).
The one-day introductory course covers all you need to know about becoming a stand-up comedian.
The intensive course is for those who have written comedy material with a view to performing.
Students will receive personal guidance, focussing on honing their material, stagecraft and
performance skills. Students are videotaped before and after. One-day workshops run on Saturdays

INDIVIDUAL TUITION
Marc offers tuition in Sitcom and stand up comedy. Critiquing of scripts is done on-line
or by post. A flat fee of £60.00p (+VAT) is charged for sitcom script assaying, whilst fees
vary for coaching in stand up. He will also assess sketches on a TBA basis.

Marc is a qualified TEFL teacher, and offers classes on a one on one basis.
